Important
Announcements and Reminders:
· Please be
reminded that your child must turn in their November Book It chart to me in
order to receive their pizza coupon for reading at least 100 minutes a week
this month. We are keeping a class monthly total and are hoping to improve our
minutes each month. It is still an expectation that the children read for 20
minutes every night, however, my hope is that the chart is motivating your
second grader. J
· Our class
will participate in a Book Exchange on Dec. 17th. Please make sure
that your child sends in his or her wrapped book to exchange with a classmate
on this date. A letter was sent home with more information.
· Our class
will be taking a Field Trip to the Nutcracker on Dec. 11th. Please
have your child dress nicely. They will also need a sack lunch as we will not
be returning until close to dismissal.
· I would love
for our class to show support to our first graders as they prepare for their
annual Candy Cane Gram Sale in an effort to raise money for the Ronald McDonald
House. Candy Cane Grams will be on sale on Dec. 8th and Dec. 9th.
They are 25 cents each just as they were last year. I will be asking our kids
to be thinking of any household services that they may offer in exchange for a
certain amount that you have mutually agreed upon.
· Please make
sure that your child arrives no later than 7:50 each morning to give them
enough time to get settled and prepared for the day.
·
Congratulations
to our newest Star Student, Marco! Marco is a caring and principled friend and
we look forward to learning more about him this week. Way to go, Marco!
Thanks
for your continued support!
